SUMMARY:7th Annual Pop A Cork
DESCRIPTION:We are thrilled to be hosting our 7th Annual Pop A Cork benefiting the Kneaded Culinary Academy. Guests will savor one-of-a-kind tapas and wine pairings under beautiful olive trees at MOHI Wines in Morgan Hill. The Kneaded Culinary Academy at Rebekah Children's Services is committed to helping disenfranchised youth in our community overcome obstacles such as poverty\, mental health conditions\, and involvement in the foster care and/or juvenile justice system by improving their lives through a no-cost\, supportive\, vocational arts training program. Students develop an increased understanding and awareness of the harmful effects of substances through engaging presentations on the risks of substance use and abuse. These skills assist our youth in developing protective factors that help them transition into adulthood as independent\, healthy\, and self-sufficient adults. Since 2009\, over 2\,000 youth have graduated from the program\, with 99% of students pursuing jobs or higher education over the last 9 years.
