We are so excited for Santa Cruz County's fifth annual MOVE For CASA to take place on Saturday\, May 3! We are even more excited to announce that we are once again partnering with CASA of Monterey County this year! We invite all members of our community to join CASA Advocates\, The Friends of CASA\, Staff\, Board\, and Supporters of both Monterey and Santa Cruz counties at Elkhorn Slough Reserve at 1700 Elkhorn Road in Watsonville. This is an all-ages family-friendly event. However\, dogs are not allowed at the slough\, sorry. Register today - join a team or form one of your own! If you're joining us at the Slough\, we'll have coffee and refreshments available from 10am and will kick the event off at 10:15am. We plan on doing a 3 mile loop but there are shorter and longer distances available as well as a wheelchair accessible trail. All proceeds from this event support CASA of Monterey and Santa Cruz County's missions to match every youth experiencing foster care or juvenile probation with a trained volunteer Advocate. Because of your support\, the most vulnerable children and youth in our community are receiving more services\, performing better both academically and behaviorally in school\, and are simply experiencing a stronger sense of hope.
