The River Run 5k/1-mile

Please join us for the River Run, back for a great 7th year in 2026.   A family-friendly event that will be fun for everyone!  You'll be able to run or walk a 5K distance or a 1-mile untimed fun run.

The River Run 2026 is a unique experience that meanders through a working sand and gravel quarry.  The events take you inside the Southside Sand and Gravel Quarry to see the working quarry site, the banks of the San Benito River, specialized equipment that processes the rock, and beautiful natural surroundings.

River Run benefits the YMCA of San Benito and begins at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 12, 2026.

Pricing is available for individuals or families.  The family pricing option is available for families/groups of 4 or more participants. 

The event is located the Graniterock Sand and Gravel Quarry at 5632 Airline Highway, Hollister, CA 95023. Free parking is available at the race site. Please arrive at 7am to allow for time to park and check-in.
